Cloud and AI Invoice ReconciliationIs every cloud and AI invoice you pay what your contracts say it should be?
Every AWS, Google Cloud and AI invoice checked against usage and your contracts, every month, with the claims ready to send
Enterprise discounts that never reach a new service, private rates that silently stop, credits that expire, refunds that never arrive, AI tokens billed at list price: each month we tie every invoice to the billing data behind it and to your agreements, then hand finance a variance report, the accrual for the close and a drafted claim for every overcharge, inside the dispute window. Read-only, a flat monthly fee, nothing paid upfront.
Your team's time: an hour to gather your agreements at the start, then a few minutes a month to send the invoice register and the AI usage reports, and a review call.

Is this right for you?
A good fit if
- You have an AWS Enterprise Discount Program or private pricing, a Google Cloud commitment or negotiated AI rates, and nobody checks the invoices against them.
- Finance pays several cloud and AI invoices a month, including Marketplace sellers, and needs each one explained before it is approved.
- You buy from two or more AI providers and the invoices do not match the usage your teams see.
- Your month-end close needs a cloud and AI accrual before the final invoices arrive.
- A commitment renewal is coming and you want to know early whether you will meet it.
Probably not for you if
- You pay list price with no agreements and one small bill. Start with the Cloud Cost Audit, which also checks your invoice once.
- Your bill is mainly Microsoft Azure. Azure invoices are not checked.
- You want someone to cut your usage. This checks what you are billed; the Cloud Cost Audit and FinOps-as-a-Service reduce what you use.
What you walk away with
Overcharges found and claimed in time
Discounts missing from services, private rates that stopped, refunds that never posted, tax charged despite an exemption, AI usage billed above your negotiated rates: each one found, priced and written up as a claim your team can send before the dispute window closes.
Invoices finance can approve
Every invoice tied to the billing data behind it, every difference explained, and the accrual for each provider ready for the close.
No surprises at renewal
Commitment drawdown tracked every month against the contract year, with any shortfall projected early, and every discount, private rate and credit with an end date on one calendar.
What a monthly report looks like
Finance gets the same sections every month: the invoice tie-out, the findings largest first with what to do about each, the change from last month, commitments and credits, and the claims ready to send.

Northwind Analytics, September 2026
An excerpt from a real run of our reconciliation engine on a made-up company, Northwind Analytics, whose September bill was built with problems we see in practice. Your report has the same sections, on your own invoices.

Findings, largest first
CloudFront private rate not applied
To claim $13,000AWS
200,000 GB billed at the public $0.085 per GB instead of the agreed $0.02, although the private pricing runs to June 2027.
Commitment on course for a shortfall
At stake $96,120AWS
Three months into the contract year, spend is on pace for $1,003,880 against a $1,100,000 commitment.
Promised refund never arrived
To claim $2,400AWS
Agreed on a support case for September 15; no refund or adjustment on the bill since.
Sales tax despite an exemption
To claim $1,200AWS
Tax on one account; the exemption certificate is missing for it.
BigQuery billed without the contract discount
To claim $900Google Cloud
$15,000 of BigQuery analysis with no 6% contract discount, which every other service received.
Claude billed at list price
To claim $480Anthropic
Tokens priced at the negotiated 10% discount come to $4,320; the cost report bills $4,800.
Claude on Bedrock at the public rate
At stake $450AWS Marketplace
A second account started using Claude on Amazon Bedrock without the private offer, paying 11% more per token than production.
Marketplace invoice entered twice
To check $4,000AWS Marketplace
The same invoice number appears twice in accounts payable: remove one before the payment run.
The full report also has the remaining 9 findings (among them $20,977 of credits about to expire unused and a discount missing from a new service), the change from last month by component, the dispute deadline for each invoice, the commitments and credits table, the checks that ran, the draft claims ready to send, and the accrual file for your close.
What is included
What the service covers. Each package under Pricing lists exactly which of these it includes and how much of your estate it covers.
Invoice tie-out
Each invoice accounts payable receives, matched to the billing data behind it: AWS invoice by invoice, including Marketplace sellers; Google Cloud by invoice month; OpenAI and Anthropic against their own cost reports. Invoices missing from AP, entered twice or with no usage behind them are flagged before they are paid.
Contract rates, checked line by line
Your enterprise discount checked service by service, so a new service or SKU without it is caught in the month it first appears. Private pricing and Google Cloud contract prices checked unit by unit, so a rate that silently stopped is caught too.
Commitments and credits
AWS and Google Cloud commitments tracked against the contract year, with the Marketplace drawdown cap applied; credits tracked to expiry; Savings Plan, Reserved Instance and committed use discount fees matched to the usage they cover.
Support fees, tax and refunds
The support fee recomputed from your plan on gross charges before discounts and credits, as AWS and Google calculate it, with plan changes flagged: AWS is moving Enterprise On-Ramp accounts to Enterprise Support during 2026 and ends Developer and Business Support on 1 January 2027. Tax checked against your exemptions, and every promised refund followed until it posts.
AI provider invoices
OpenAI and Anthropic usage priced at your negotiated rates, model by model, including cached tokens and batch discounts, and compared with what was billed. It matters more in 2026: OpenAI enterprise invoices stopped listing detailed API costs in April, and Anthropic's cost report leaves out Priority Tier.
Marketplace and Bedrock private offers
Each Marketplace product, including Claude and other models on Amazon Bedrock, compared across your accounts, so an account that uses it without the private offer or a license grant, and pays the public rate, is caught.
Closed months re-read
Providers post credits, refunds and corrections to months that are already closed. Each month we re-read them and list what changed after your close, so finance can book it and claims can be marked recovered.
Claims drafted, deadlines kept
Each overcharge written up as a claim with the figures behind it, and a calendar of every invoice's last day to dispute it, so claims go out from your own account in time and are tracked until the credit posts.
What we hand over
- A monthly variance report: tie-out, findings, the change from last month, commitments and credits
- Draft claims for every overcharge, with the supporting figures
- An accrual file for the close: what each invoice should be
- The invoice tie-out, invoice by invoice
- A dispute deadline calendar and a claim tracker, kept until each credit posts
- A renewal calendar of every discount, private rate, commitment and credit
How it works
Week 0
Scoping call and order
We agree the providers, accounts, AI vendors and your close calendar, and send a one-page order.
Week 0 to 1
Your agreements
You send the agreements that set your prices: enterprise discount or private pricing, Google Cloud agreement, AI order forms, support plan, tax exemptions and open billing cases. We turn them into the short list of terms we check against, and you confirm it.
Week 1
Data and access
Read-only access to your billing data, or monthly exports; your invoice register; and the AI providers' usage and cost reports, which your team pulls with its own keys.
Week 2
First report
The last closed month reconciled, with its claims ready to send. For older months, order the 12-month Back Audit as well.
By business day 10
Every month
On Pro and Enterprise a provisional accrual by business day 3, because AWS's final charges can land on the sixth or seventh business day; then the final tie-out, the variance report, the claims and a review call.
Pricing
A flat monthly fee, never a share of what we find, and nothing is paid upfront: each month is invoiced at the end of the month. Three-month minimum, then month to month with 30 days' notice. Prices are in US dollars and exclude applicable taxes.

- An evidence binder for your auditors
- A named analyst, who joins your provider escalation calls
- Extra payer or billing account: $200 a month. Extra AI provider: $150 a month.
- Older months: the 12-month Back Audit finds overcharges still inside a dispute window, from $3,900 or 25% of what the providers credit. Sign Pro or Enterprise for 6 months within 30 days of its final report and the second half of the audit fee is waived.
- Already a Cloud Cost Audit or FinOps-as-a-Service customer? Your billing data is already with us, so the first report comes sooner.
No lock-in after three months
After the first three months you can stop with 30 days' notice. You keep every report, every claim, the claim tracker and the terms file, and we never take a share of what you recover.
How ordering works
We reply within one business day
With times for a free 30-minute scoping call, or straight away with the order if your email already tells us enough.
You get a one-page order
It confirms the package, scope, dates, price and when each invoice is due. Nothing is binding until you sign it, and we sign your NDA first if you have one.
Kickoff
We send the access steps and your secure upload links, and the work starts on the agreed date.
Nothing paid upfront
Fixed fees are invoiced in two halves: 50% at the milestone your order names, usually about halfway, and 50% on completion. Monthly services are invoiced at the end of each month. Card or bank transfer.
The data we need from you
Three things: your agreements, the billing data behind each invoice, and the invoices themselves. The agreements are the basis of every claim, so we confirm our reading of them with you before the first report.
- Agreements: your AWS Enterprise Discount Program or private pricing addendum and its amendments, your Google Cloud agreement and commitment schedule, Marketplace private offers, AI provider order forms, your support plan, tax exemption certificates, and any open billing case with a promised credit.
- AWS: your Cost and Usage Report (CUR) from the management (payer) account, and the month's invoice list, which one read-only command produces.
- Google Cloud: read access to your detailed usage cost export and pricing export in BigQuery, or the result of a monthly summary query.
- OpenAI and Anthropic: the monthly usage and cost reports, which your team pulls with its own admin key. We never receive the key.
- Your invoice register: the cloud and AI invoices accounts payable received in the month, with number, date and amount.
How it reaches us: Through a secure, customer-specific upload link, or, on Google Cloud, by granting our reader identity read access to the billing datasets so nothing has to be uploaded each month. Agreements go through a separate upload link. Everything is stored encrypted in Finitizer's Google Cloud environment in the US, used only for your reconciliation, and deleted on request when you leave.
Step-by-step: how to export and upload this dataAccess and security
Read-only, always. We check and draft; your team decides what to claim and sends it.
- AWS: the same keyless, read-only role as our Cloud Cost Audit, one CloudFormation stack in the management account, plus read access to the bucket that holds your CUR. No keys, no write access.
- Google Cloud: BigQuery Data Viewer on the billing export and pricing export datasets, granted to a dedicated Finitizer reader identity. No keys are created.
- AI providers: nothing connects. Your team runs two report requests a month with its own admin key and uploads the results; the commands are on the data upload page.
- We never contact a provider on your behalf without your written go-ahead, and never change anything in your accounts.
Cannot grant access yet? Not ready to grant access? Monthly exports through the upload links work for every provider.
Who does the work
A team of FinOps Engineers and FinOps Practitioners. The Finitizer platform does the scanning; the team does the judgment, and every finding is reviewed, priced and explained by a person before you see it.
FinOps Engineers
Connect the read-only access, run the analysis on the Finitizer platform, write the Terraform changes, SQL rewrites and reservation commands, and check every number against your bill.
FinOps Practitioners
FinOps-certified. Review and rank every finding, run your review calls and readouts, build the reporting and the practice around it, and lead the training.
Frequently asked questions
What kinds of errors do you actually find?
The ones that recur in enterprise bills: a contract discount missing from a new service or SKU, a private rate that stopped before its end date, credits that expire unused, a promised refund that never posts, tax charged although you are exempt, a Marketplace product billed at the public rate in an account without the private offer, a Marketplace invoice entered twice, and AI usage billed above negotiated rates. Not every month has one, and the report says so when a month is clean.
Why every month, and not once a year?
Because dispute windows are short and errors repeat. Google Cloud asks for billing disputes before the payment due date, 30 days after the invoice unless your agreement says otherwise; OpenAI within 30 days of the invoice; AWS outage credits by the end of the second billing cycle. An error found in an annual review is often too old to claim, and a rate that stopped in January has been wrong on eleven more invoices.
Why is the report on business day 10?
AWS's final charges for a month can land on the sixth or seventh business day after it ends, and invoices follow. So the final tie-out comes after them. On Pro and Enterprise you get a provisional accrual by business day 3 for the close, and the final tie-out by business day 8.
How is this different from the Cloud Cost Audit?
The audit finds waste in what you use, once. Invoice reconciliation checks what you are billed against what you agreed to pay, every month. Many customers start with the audit, and the billing data is then already with us, so the first report comes sooner.
Is there a one-time option?
Yes, the Cloud and AI Invoice Back Audit: the last 12 months checked once, from $3,900, or 25% of the credits the providers actually post. Many customers start there, then move to the monthly service.
Do you send the claims to AWS, Google or the AI providers?
No. We draft each claim with the figures behind it, and your team sends it from your own account, because the provider relationship is yours. If you want, we join the escalation call with your account team.
How do you check AI invoices?
OpenAI and Anthropic publish two reports for the same month: usage, in tokens by model, and cost, in dollars. We price the tokens at your negotiated rates, including cached tokens and batch discounts, compare the result with the cost report model by model, and tie the cost report to the invoice. Models bought through Amazon Bedrock or Vertex AI are checked with the rest of your AWS or Google Cloud bill.
Do you need our contracts?
Yes, they are the basis of every check that can find money. We turn them into a short list of terms, you confirm it, and we only claim what the agreement supports. Contracts are stored encrypted and used only for your reconciliation, and we sign your NDA first.
What if an error is in our favor?
We report it too. A discount or credit you are not entitled to is usually reversed later, so it is better to know before the close than after.
Which providers do you cover?
AWS, including Marketplace sellers billed through AWS; Google Cloud, including Google Cloud Marketplace; OpenAI; and Anthropic. Gemini and partner models billed through Google Cloud, and Bedrock models billed through AWS, are covered with those bills. Azure is not covered.
Do you take a percentage of what you recover?
Not on the monthly service: a flat fee, so our incentive is an accurate report rather than the largest claim. We count a recovery only when the provider's credit memo posts. The one-time Back Audit offers a contingency option for those who prefer it.
How do we pay, and can we cancel?
Nothing is paid upfront: each month is invoiced at the end of the month, by card or bank transfer. After the three-month minimum, give 30 days' notice to stop. You keep every report, every claim and the terms file.
